I was a Blackberry user until last Sunday.  I got spoiled by being able to set up different rings and chimes and such for the various types of incoming data.  For example, I had one ringtone but then I also had one noise for Text Messages, another for Facebook Messages, and a third for Emails.  I then set these up for each of my 3 favorite profiles: At work (when I like my ringers quiet), Normal (when I need them a little louder) and silent (For meetings or when I need my sleep).

Is there any type of widget or way to set this up in Android?  App suggestions are welcome.

a little late but for those of you still wondering -> "Messaging" --> Menu Btn --> "Messaging Settings" --> select txt messaging, email, or social messaging --> "Select ringtone"

oh and for phone ringtone just go to settings then sounds

Hey!

If you have music on your phone just play a song and hit menu button it will give you options hit more and the option for ringtone or notification is there have fun!
